When it comes to redefining museums we truly think that nobody has got us beat. After all, we can proudly say that we turned the Museum experience on its head by ensuring that the Selfie Museum is a truly interactive experience where you can directly touch, pose, and take pictures with every single exhibit. We wanted to make sure photography went beyond its usual boundaries in museums, and countless happy clients showed us that we did manage to make a unique spin on the museum scene.

But what if you want a more traditional museum experience to go alongside our Selfie Museum while you visit Nevada? Then of course we have to start looking at the Nevada state museum in Las Vegas scene. Because believe it or not Las Vegas is 100% a Museum City, and we count with a lot of museums and exhibits, both private and state-owned, and that of course includes the Las Vegas state museum

So for today let’s take a closer look at the Nevada State Museum scene as we go deeper into what the “official” museums have to offer.

Is the Nevada State Museum in Las Vegas worth your visit?

Of course! The local state museum in Las Vegas has to offer is nothing to scoff at, and in general state museums are always an impressive part of any local museum scene. Las Vegas counts with one of the two Nevada State Museums (the other is in Carson City), and there is a lot to discover on it.

Plus as a state museum, it’s very common to see exhibits rotate and that means that every time you visit the state museum in Las Vegas NV you might come across a completely new experience. Las Vegas list of Nevada state museums to visit

Above we mentioned that the NV state museum in Las Vegas is one of two main state museums in Nevada state, but admittedly that’s a bit of a reductionist take, so let’s take a closer look at Las Vegas list of Nevada state museums, shall we?

As we mentioned before there are two core “State Museums” in Nevada, one is in our lovely Las Vegas, and the other is in Carson City, but that isn’t the full-depth of the “official” museums Nevada has to offer,

Nevada’s history was shaped by the development of the railroad and as a result, we have 3 separate museums dedicated to railroads, their technology, and their impact on society. One of them is in Carson City again, but the other two are in East Ely and Boulder City respectively.

Last but not least we also have the Historical Society Museum in Reno and the Lost City Museum in Overton. So as a whole, there is a lot to do and see when it comes to the official museum scene in Nevada, and that’s thanks to the rich historical background of our state.
