Here at the Museum of Selfies, we pride ourselves on being one of the most welcoming locations to visit in Las Vegas. Family-friendly? Check. Have fun for all ages? Of course, we truly believe that true family fun means that the content is engaging and engrossing for all visitors. Interactive displays to blow your mind? The Selfie Museum is not just your average museum, which is chock-full of “Do Not Touch” warnings. We made sure everything was interactive, available for you, and that nothing was off-limits!
However we also truly believe that the big difference with our community and staff is precisely how in touch we are with our visitors, and that means that we like to both hear from them their plans as well as offer some of our recommendations in turn. While the Selfie Museum is a must-see destination in our wonderful Las Vegas, We also know it’s not the only place you’ll visit, and it shouldn’t either, Las Vegas has no shortage of things to offer.
That said there’s one specific destination we hear a lot from and people ask us all the time, so for today’s article, we’ll take a look at the Avengers Museum in Vegas and let you know what it’s all about.
Is there an Avengers museum in Las Vegas
The first thing we need to clear up is what the Avengers exhibit Las Vegas has to offer because the museum title can be a bit misleading. The Avengers exhibit in Las Vegas or the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. (Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network) as it’s officially known. Is an officially licensed Avengers experience that first opened in 2016 and is located in The Strip.
However, the Avengers museum in Las Vegas closed early in January 2024, so sadly, the location is currently permanently out of service. The Avenger exhibit in Las Vegas had a good run, but the reality is that some museums need to close due to external circumstances, and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes had to close shop in our beloved Las Vegas.
That said it’s also important to clarify that the Avengers Museum in Las Vegas is in fact not the only one in the States or the world for that matter, and this experience has also been made available in Dallas, Sao Paulo, and Xi’an. With more possible locations being considered as we speak. So just because the avenger exhibit las vegas had to offer has now closed down it doesn’t mean the experience is gone forever, and if you are a dedicated fan you’ll be happy to know that all exhibits do share the same attractions, so the avenger museum from Las Vegas still lives on, just away from Vegas.
All about the Avenger exhibit in Las Vegas
Now, in case you are curious about what the Avengers museum Las Vegas offers to its visitors for nostalgia or because you are considering checking out another of the locations, you are in the right place.
As we said before the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. selection of facilities and exhibits is largely fixed regardless of which iteration of it you are visiting, and that means the Avengers museum Vegas is more or less the same as its sibling locations. And that means that you’ll likely be enjoying exhibits with props and costumes from movies that have captured the world for well over a decade.
When you enter the avengers exhibit in Vegas you will get the chance to experience the Hall of Armor Tony Stark built up across the movies with some of the most accurate props in the world. But there’s also an interactive suit that will make you feel like you are watching the Invincible Iron Man in motion.
Suits and weapons from the other heroes like Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch can also be found in-location and you can even witness the regeneration cradle that gave life to the legendary Vision. Other curated exhibits include the Captain America memorial that is recurrently seen in the movies, which is not only full of legitimately interesting insider info not seen anywhere else but will make you feel like you are in the MCU.
And of course, a lot of the exhibits are interactive, which means you’ll get the chance to interact with an arc reactor, performance tests designed by the Avengers themselves, and beyond. The Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. was for a long time the most immersive exhibit for the Avengers in the world, and while it recently closed down for good its spirit and sense of innovation will be remembered for many years.
